How big is that bead?

Beads are most commonly measured using the metric system. Measurements for the beads are detailed near the photo. A USD dime measures 18mm in diameter(across). A USD quarter measures 24mm(almost an inch). One inch equals 25.4mm. So a 2mm bead is really tiny and much smaller than a 12mm(almost 1/2") bead.

3.2mm = 1/8 inch
6.3mm = 1/4 inch
9.5mm = 3/8 inch
12.7mm = 1/2 inch
15.9mm = 5/8 inch
19mm = 3/4 inch
22.2mm = 7/8 inch
25.4mm = 1 inch
