Keeping your sterling and fine silver untarnished

You will need to polish your pieces eventually but minimize the need by using preventative measures. You will need to polish much less often if after wearing you store your jewelry in an air tight environment, like a zip loc bag. Pearls should not be bagged. Avoid getting makeup, hair spray or perfumes on your jewelry by applying those first, allowing to dry, then putting your jewelry on. When working with silver, make sure your hands are clean and oil/lotion free.
