Stamped Gift Ideas

Posted by Enchanting Beads on December 18, 2012 at 9:27 am

If you are looking for a new and inventive way to personalize your gifts, try stamping. Stamping is a fun way to make your jewelry even more unique and memorable. While it takes a little bit of practice, its whimsical appearance means that a few small mistakes will only add to the piece’s character. That’s one reason why stamped jewelry is such a great idea for gifts.

Graduates
Letter PunchIf you know students who has successfully made it through school and are about to walk across the stage, then reward them with gifts that acknowledge their accomplishments. Make a washer bracelet that has the graduate’s name and graduation date stamped into the washer. You may also want to stamp some jewelry with images from the graduate’s new profession. For example, reward a lawyer with some earrings that are stamped with the scales of justice, or stamp an image of a school building for a new teacher. You can also personalize a key ring that the graduate can use for his first job.

Teachers

If your child is enrolled in school, then you should let his teacher know how much you appreciate all that she does. Stamp her name into a metal bookmark, and add a special charm. You can also personalize a necklace or earrings with the school’s mascot or name.

Wedding GiftsNumber Punch Stamps

Newlyweds deserve special personalized gifts that mark the day that they vowed to love each other forever. Stamp the wedding date onto pendants for the bride, and include another tag with her name and that of her new husband. Give them a gift that they can use in their new home by making stamped wine glass charms. Add some pretty beads and stamp different images that represent the couple’s interests.

Parents

Parenting is a tough job, so it is important to acknowledge their dedication and hard work. Stamp small pendants with each child’s name, and combine them with birthstone beads to make a necklace that Mommy will love. This is also a great gift idea for grandmothers. You can even add each child’s birthday to make it even more personal.

The best way that you can personalize a gift is to put your heart into it. Personalized jewelry that you have crafted is a wonderful way to show people that you care for and appreciate them.

Gift Wrapping: Making Your Jewelry Even More Beautiful

Posted by Enchanting Beads on December 13, 2012 at 9:23 am

While you may feel as though your job as a jewelry maker is complete once you put the finishing touches on a design, there are still some things that you can do to make your jewelry even more special. When you take the time to carefully plan the presentation of your pieces, you will find that people notice and appreciate even the smallest artistic touches. Here are some tips to help you display and wrap your gifts in memorable ways.

Display

If you are setting up a display for potential customers, then you need to take the time to make your display appealing. Use decorations around your table if you would like, but make sure that they don’t draw attention away from your jewelry. Arrange your jewelry so that it is set up to complement the colors and designs that you have chosen. This will make it more appealing for potential customers and will draw them to your booth.

Boxes

Anyone can buy simple jewelry boxes from a supply store, and they all look exactly the same. You can make yours stand out by adding your own special touches to each box. You can still use the boxes from the supply stores, but decorate them to match your personal style. Find scrapbook paper that appeals to you or that complements your jewelry, and use it to wrap each box.

Gift Bags

Make cute little gift bags in which to send home presents or purchases. Decorate the bags to represent your tastes, or order personalized gift bags online. You can add images or graphics to these, as well as your name or your company’s name.

Cards

Not only will earring and pin cards help you display your jewelry, but they can also keep it from getting lost or tangled up. Make your own unique cards by stamping or painting cardstock. Cut them to the appropriate shape, and punch holes for the ear wires and pins using an awl or a push pin.

When you make the presentation of your jewelry as beautiful as the jewelry itself, the recipients will treasure the pieces even more. Not only will you show them that you are a skilled jewelry maker, but you will also demonstrate that you pay close attention to even the smallest details. It will make your jewelry more special for each person who views it.
