Jewelry Making Tip of the Week

Posted by Enchanting Beads on August 25, 2012 at 8:52 am

Use a bead with a large hole to disguise a crimp bead. Crimp beads are required for many projects, but they can sometimes interfere with the piece’s final appearance. Hide your crimp bead by sliding a bead with a large hole down to cover it. Continue your string of beads, and then place another large bead on the strand before you add the final crimp bead. Not only will the crimp beads be disguised, but the large bead will keep the crimp bead from scratching the wearer.
